SAEC Seats
The Board is comprised of twenty-three seats. There are fourteen permanent seats that are designated for specific organizations. Four seats are reserved for resident representatives; one per FEZ site. Finally, there are five seats that are considered "floating." Any community member may submit their qualifications for any vacant "floating" seat.
Open Seats
Currently there are two vacant seats for the SAEC Board. One is the permanent Workforce Investment Board seat and the other is for a Resident Representative of Zone 3. Recruitment is currently open for Zone 3 residents. The Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board will nominate a person to represent them on the board.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the SAEC Board are to uphold the integrity of the Federal Empowerment Zone Program to serve the community and foster economic development.
